Watson Packer

History

Watson Packer was founded in 1963 in Monahans, Texas by Bill Watson. Over the next several years, the company expanded into Seminole, Snyder, and Abilene, Texas. Harold Clifton, having twenty years of experience at Baker Oil Tools, joined the team as Operations Manager in 1977. In 1996, Watson Packer was sold to Weatherford after growing to over 60 employees in sixteen stores throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Utah. Weatherford changed the name of the company to Weatherford Completion Systems. In 1998 Bill Watson, Barry Watson, and James Harvey started a new company under the Watson Packer name with Harold Clifton as Operations Manager. Watson Packer currently has over 60 employees with stores located throughout Texas and New Mexico.
